Tampa Tank, Inc. (TTI), established in 1953, and Florida Structural Steel (FSS) established in 1984 are staffed and equipped to provide complete design, shop fabrication, shipment, field erection, inspection, and testing of welded steel products to our customer's specific requirements.

The TTI product line includes both shop assembled and field erected storage tanks, process tanks, silos, bins, hoppers,
stacks, stack liners, ductwork,
breechings, miscellaneous fabrications,

and other custom structures in carbon steels, alloy steels and stainless steels.  In addition, we offer tank inspection, repair and maintenance services.  Tampa Tank is an open shop contractor and as such performs field construction work throughout the US, the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Florida Structural Steel (FSS), is an AISC certified fabricator and erector of structural steel and related products.  Specializing in fast track, on-time, quality fabrication and erection of commercial and industrial structures, steel bridges and complex steel building.  FSS also fabricates and erects miscellaneous steel, ornamental and specialty products in aluminum and stainless steel.  FSS is an open shop fabricator that utilizes union LU 397 ironworkers for our global field erection.

Our wholly owned subsidiary, General Engineering Corporation (GEC), specializes in the field construction of domestic projects requiring NTL Boilermaker labor.  In addition, GEC performs field construction of tanks, associated steel plate structures, piping, structural steel and related equipment, often on a turnkey basis, in the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Our fabrication facilities in Tampa, Florida and our experienced professional engineering staff make TTI uniquely qualified to design, prepare drawings, furnish material, fabricate, sandblast, paint, galvanize and deliver a wide variety of shop-fabricated steel plate structures including ductwork, both insulated and uninsulated, stacks, breeching, pressure vessels, storage tanks and process tanks.  TTI is fully certified in the design and fabrication of steel plate products under the following codes and standards, ASME Code SectionVIII with “U”, “R” & “S” stamps, API Standards 620, 650 and 653, AWWA Standard D100, D102 and D103, NFPA Standards 22 and 30, and UL Standard 142, AISC major bridge/fracture critical endorsement, AWS1.1, AWS 1.5.
